History: Born on Naboo to a high govenment official and his equally powerful wife, Malaya was noticed for her extraordinary abilities at the age of four by Jedi Master Mace Windu. After that, she was whisked away to be trained in the ways of the Jedi, one of the last padewans to ever set foot in the Jedi Temple on . As the galaxy was thrust to the brink of war, Malaya's mother took her back to Naboo, keeping her out of the line of fire. When she was six, a stranger named Naenther Dar'engy took refuge in their home, claiming to have fled his home planet of Togoria when the Clone Wars took hold there. However, he reveals to talented little Malaya that he is a Jedi Master (and a deserter). His Twi'loth padewan had been killed in the wars two years before, and he had slipped quietly out of the battle and been running and hiding ever since. Naenther becomes an integral part of the household, helping look after Malaya and her four siblings, even continuing Malaya's Jedi training right where Master Windu left off. Despite his somewhat intimidating appearance, Naenther has always been surprisingly peaceful and gentle, personality quriks among his people which led him away from home and into training as a Jedi.
At seventeen, Malaya left home to travel the galaxy and see things for herself. She met hotshot pilot (and pain in her a**) Han Solo at a bar on Naboo, and has been hanging around with him and Chewie ever since.
