POEMS
The Dummy In that forgotten part of town Where wasted hopes and dreams abound, A wrinkled man with life near end, In hopes to have at least one friend, Fashioned bits of wood and things And made a dummy run by strings.
He sat alone for hours on end, Conversing with his only friend And found delight within the fact That he controlled it's every act. He told it how he never had A chance, since all his luck was bad Although he'd tried so to succeed - The dummy nodded and agreed.
And how his journeys in romance Had never given him a chance, And wasn't it a crying shame That he was always held to blame When everyone knew, oh so well, That life is but a living Hell, Controlled by lust and power and greed? The dummy nodded and agreed.
With patience that would rival saints, That dummy sat through all complaints And, with each little expert tug, He'd droop his head or bow or shrug And give some comfort to the man Who held his lifelines in his hand And helped to fill a lonely need When he just nodded and agreed.
Senility increased with time As did the old man's pantomime, And feverish fingers pulled with glee The dummy's dance of misery. They never left each other's side Until the day both stopped and died. We found them lying, hand in hand, The dummy - and his wooden friend.
Truly Dreaming Fingertips yearn for bloody flesh and scent of jasmine while the lips crave for pearls that guided me to your catastrophe through the lucid visualization and hourglasses lost in flames.
I tried to be sarcastic- token to my bloodstained intelligence, bargained for pieces of conclusive senses that whisper... detuned claviers lack boldness to follow my frosty heartbeats.
All those words that slipped from the tongue danced, danced across the blank paper they danced with ravens and wolfs ...oh, such senseless, yet undying, witty sight...
Looking in the deceiving eyes of intricate, sweet deceptions deciphered sighs of magical, frail chimeras... ...letters still performed their treacherous heroic spectacles...
And the pure heresy is murmured near the bed by the ghosts of dead poets and street mimics... my life's filled with moonbeams.
... we're truly different, and I am truly dreaming.
If I Knew You And You Knew Me If I knew you and you knew me, If both of us could clearly see, And with an inner sight divine, The meaning of your heart and mine, I'm sure that we would differ less, And clasp our hands in friendliness; Our thoughts would pleasantly agree, If I knew you and you knew me.
Adam We never doubt each other and I am glad for that the years that have passed just look where we're at
Now I am going to tell you even if you have heard before just wait and listen because there is so much more
You mean everything to me without you I would die I believe everything you say I know you would never tell a lie
If you ever needed me I would just say come on over then I would open my door and lend you my shoulder
Everything I do for you I know you'd do for me it just shocks me sometimes the friends we turned out to be
I would never hurt you and I will always be near I would do anything for you just so you won't shed a tear
I know sometimes life is hard we'll be together through it all if you feel you're on shaky ground I'm here to catch your fall
When I say friends forever I mean through thick and thin and when you feel you've been let down I'm here to lift your chin
Whenever you need to talk just pick up the phone and call it doesn't matter what time it is I'll be there to hear it all
My ears are here to listen when you feel the need to talk I would even be happy if you just wanted to walk
Whenever you're in trouble you know I have your back even if we're outnumbered fear is what I'll lack
If you ever get stranded I won't be very far I won't even think twice I'll just get in my car
I'm here to support you I hope you understand when you're taking a big step I'll gladly hold your hand
If something goes wrong I'm there to wipe the tears no matter how long it takes I can do it for years
Now I don't know about you we will always talk about the weather only because in my heart I see us growing old together
So in case you didn't know but I'm sure you know you heard if not then read this poem again because I meant every word
