Ok, I live in Florida, so grades 3-10(I believe) have to go through the phycological torture known as Fcat. Unfortunately, I'm somewhere between grades 3-10 so I have to suffer through not only the test, but alll of the stupid Fcat prep. (Keep reading, it gets better.)
We had to do a reading prompt on 'The Runaway Slave' and they start off the story by having us read a page of background info on slavery, and actually have the nerve to do a nice llllllllllllooooooooooooooooonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnggggggggggg paragraph on the negative effects slavery had on the slave owners. Now if that wasn't ludicris enough, they actually had the balls to ask the question "How did slavery make life difficult for slave owners?"
scream stressed evil burning_eyes
Now maybe I'm reading too much into this, but if group A emotionally and physically abuses group B, shouldn't group B be the ones with the more difficult life? Should group A really be the ones pitied? And the test didn't even have a reciprocal question for group A.
Now pardon my french, but what kind of f****d up s**t is that? mad
Now for those of you that are groaning about my 'slavery is evil' rant, this isn't even about that. This is just that these people have no sense of....well...ANYTHING. Its like asking how the nazis were negatively affected by the holocaust without giving a flying f**k about the jews. What the heck is up with these people?
