Yate!s**t! Giatay! Peste! Yawa! Bullshit! Or, lord help me! Unsa na ang akong buhaton run! Singko ko! Ouch it hurts, gibuhat na naku ang tanan, nganu bagsak pa man gihapon ko! Pandamay na maestro ka! nganu gibagsak man ko nimu! or you'll be speechless, you are watching at the sky, staring at nothing or you'll find your self crying –the most common reactions of students who got a grade of five.
Who wants a grade of five? I know that all of you don’t want to have this grade. But, lets face the fact that a grade of five is part of college life. Almost all students have it. It also serves as an initiation to almost all students who enters this university. It is a usual thing to have this grade. It is not cool but know and i'm sure that it adds color to our life as a student -- an exciting and adventurous life. It is like spice added into our life, making it more interesting.
Most of the time, students misunderstood the five in their grade. They always and as a trend, condemn that number. They only see the outer covering of that grade. They can't see and appreciate the inner purpose of it.
If you happen to get a grade of five, why would you worry about it? A grade of five is not really a big problem. It is because a grade of is not really a big deal in learning. It doesn’t mean that if you got this grade, you did not learn anything from your subject. Let’s not forget that there are many factors that affect us especially in our stage right now. It maybe emotional, psychological and many more struggles. Others will say that having a grade of five is bad because of its negative outcomes. Maybe yes, there are many consequences the grade of five can give you. It can give a negative impact especially to your parents and or sometimes to you. A grade of five stains your tcg(true copy of grades). Maybe it hurts to see your most precious and good records will be stained by that stupid number. These were just part of the consequences of having five. Don't be scared of it. I've guessed you are only aware of its bad side. Can't you see the good side of it? Just don’t focus on its bad effects. Maybe you are blind to the fact that there are always two sides of a coin. A five can serve as an inspiration especially when you are probationary. Can't you see that if you have this grade, you'll be encouraged to strive harder next time. Surely, you will be surprised that your grades will improve.
There is a friend of mine who happen to be a probationary. I ask him about this matter. Although he admitted that having five is not good, he also stresses that it is not bad at all. According to him, having five is not a big deal. What is important is what you have learned. And also, with this, you proved to yourself that you are a fighter. You did not stop and surrender in your own battle. You now know how to face every struggle of your college life. You also develop your courage and self-esteem.
I’ve guess that what you heard are only some of the reasons why having a grade of five is not bad at all. There are many other reasons. This only proves that five is not bad at all. See! Even though five gives negative impressions to others, it can also give you good effects. It is not a big problem after all. It makes no sense in terms of learning. And also it serves as an inspiration, develops courage and self-esteem, and proves that you are a real fighter.
So, these reactions, Yate!s**t! Giatay! Peste! Yawa! Bullshit! Or, lord help me! Unsa na ang akong buhaton run! Singko ko! Ouch it hurts, gibuhat na naku ang tanan, nganu bagsak pa man gihapon ko! Pandamay na maestro ka! nganu gibagsak man ko nimu!, your being speechless, your watching at the sky, staring at nothing, or your tear-shedding are not worth for that “encouraging” number.
Fives does not only give bad side, also the good one. Grade of five is not bad at all!
