They twinkled beneath the yellow globe. They danced in the night. No need for a dream. Reality sunk in. They were real. The backyard streched for miles. But she was not alone. Her arms were enough to hold her own self. And today that might just be enough. The eyes held the truth. She couldn't lie. Rotten inside. Breaking down. Falling from the inside. She's hollow. Empty and feeble. Don't push too hard. She might break. Of course. That never stops him. That never stops anyone. After all this while...I never thought we'd be here...when my love for you is blind...The heart slows to a dull steady beat. The veins screaming for oxygen. Drowning in bad blood. Soon the heart stops. She breaks, only now...It's said and done. The book closes and the bell rings. The last song plays out its melodramatic tune. The last chords fade. The end has been identified. The bottle is but drops away from empty, the cherry pops from the cancer filled stick. Buttons snap. Clothes thrown about. Flesh torn. Ignorance forgotten. Innocence betrayed. The candle flickers and burns low. But now, who's it over for?
