I voted for the first time ever today! On a sales tax! =D Ehh... not that interesting really. But it's good practice. And I feel accomplished all the same.
Speaking of accomplishments... or lack thereof... I've finally had to jump on the college bandwagon today. I'm starting one application, and I also have to do a brag sheet/resume on top of that.
Too bad I haven't accomplished all that much. Extracurricular activities? There's the short time I was in Earth Club, and Art Club. That's it.
Volunteer Work? Nada. What can I say. I only lived in the middle of freaking NOWHERE for most of my high school career. There's nothing to do there. And I mean it. D: Actually, I wonder if digging through garbage cans for bottles once a week, for the sake of Earth Club, counts as volunteer work or not?
Work experience? I used to babysit my neighbor's two kids at ungodly hours. I've never had an official job, because I can't drive. Since a certain SOMEBODY keeps forgetting to take me to get my permit test done, no matter how many times I remind her.
Accomplishments? I got a pumpkin published in a magazine. And... I was a finalist in a logo designing contest for a coffee shop near my old school, but I'm not sure if it counts since I didn't exactly win....
I'm feeling slightly inadequate right about now. Especially after reading the sample resume the counselor gave me. Which was actually someone's resume at one point. (I swear, when did that person sleep?!).

Buuut... enough about that. D:
In other news, apparently a friend of mine is going to make me join Color Guard. Whether I want to or not. It does sound pretty fun, actually. I'm a little worried about making an idiot of myself... or injuring someone. But I'm told that it's a lot easier than it looks. We'll see. I'm going to make her show me some flag tricks this weekend.
Also, I'm back to trying to talk my mom into going to church again. You can imagine how well that's going. I'm about to just give up and hitch a ride with one of my neighbors every Sunday. >_>
One of my reasons for doing this? There's a youth group, a chance of maybe doing some volunteer work, and choir. Resume fillers, basically. I'm in need of a few of those right about now.
But my main reason, well, I just miss going. =[
