I signed paper after paper as the nurses pushed them at me. I looked back a Rhyns who shrugged sheepishly and waved for me to continue. I signed away, printing my name as I've scribed it. In the elegant script of the celestial race. The nurses squealed and passed me all the paper in the hospitol it seemed. After that they said that I only had one more thing left. Payment. I frowned as I undid the satchel from hip. The pouch gave a slight jangle as the currency inside lurched around. I peered inside trying to gage the value of the bills and coins before turning my gaze back tot hem. "What is my debt to you?" I asked, tilting the bag's mouh from them. The chuckled nervously and passed a weary look between them. "2.087.65$" They blurted unanimously. I slowly sorted out the payment and handed it over. They gaped at the thick wade of currency and hesitant placed into their machine. It prodced a reciet that they gave over to me. "Damn... He's loaded..." One murmured and snapped her jaw shut and turned away as looked questionally her way. "Don't mind them..." Rhyns said softly, though his blanten amazement still pretty obvious. His hands fidget nervously as we headed out. I looked around, trying to disconcernt he location of some edible biomass. I tugged on his sleeve, trying to ask him but he was lost in thought. I guess I'll just have to find it on my own. I started down the sidewalk, searching for the ever ellusive nutrition when he shouted out to me. "I'm... not... well to do! I'm nowhere near your league!" I cried out, mking odd guesters and his face contorted with pain. I shrugged and waved my hands, I don't care about his place in this society. All I want is to find some nutrition so I can avoid that sterile jail. "I take that as a you don't care." He chuckled softly as he flung his arms around my neck. I hoisted him from the ground, carring him on back. "Why would that concern me?" I ask, eyeing him over my shoulder. He giggled armly, his mirth flowing freely from him. Yet, it still coundn't permeat my heart and return my emotions to me. "Lets go to my house." He sugested, pressign his joined hands into my collar bone. "I'm a pretty decent chef." He smiled pleasantly, leaning over my shoulder to see my face better. I nodded and drop his feet, lowering him to the ground. He clapped excitedly and sprinted ahead of me, jumping around like a nuetrino released from a proton. He ran back and tugged on my cloak, urginh me to hurry. He whipped around, going on about all his culinery accomplishments his aura suddenly died out and he stopped, frozen in place. I walked up behind him, bending to look over his shoulders. His dialeted irises were trembling as they locked onto somethign across the street. I followed that gaze to a brutish man with a sanguine complexion. His gnarled teeth exposed as his feral smile seemed to devour Rhyns right then and there. "Rhyns?" I meant to question him but he squeaked and rushed up behind me. His hand pressed into a tender spot in my back. I hissed in pain and bowed backwards. I quickly spun out of the way, coming to face him. "Sorry, but I think we should hurry home. I really want to show off now!" He chirped happily his fear erased for the moment. He grasped my arm and pulled me along, rambling happily, even though his tight grip on my arm said other wise. I turned my gaze back the burly man. His eyes seemed to seth hatred as he glared hard at me. His eyes shoot nasty remarks and silent threats. I stopped and freed my arm, my eyes locking with his. "Ariza nuryi zulagine." I say and raised my hand over my head, twisting it and pressing it my chest. I bowed slightly but my eyes never left his. "I accept your challenge." I translated, as was common curtisy. He crossed the roas swiftly, shoving his flabby gurth against my thin body. He glared at me, his eyes only a few inches below mine. "You are a foolish little wench if you think you can take me." He laughed hautily and turned his carniverous gaze to Rhyns. He clasped his meaty hand on Rhyns arm, hi hand easily wrapping around his tiny appendage. He violently shook him. My hand snapped out, nearly crushing his forearm. I snarled as I heard bone pop and goran under the stress. His face contorted in silent screams as I wrenched him free of Rhyns. I brought him to his knees as I popped his hand from his arm. I released it and pushed Rhyns back. "Your challenge was to me and me alone." I growl, my eyes narrowing on him as he stands, shaking his injuries arm. "You will regret that!" The man roared and came in, charging blindly foreward. His simple charge was borederline pathetic. I easily sidestepped his leading fist and redirected it into the ground. A coarse howl of pain echoed across the street as the divine sound of bone splittering rang out. He raised his swollen and blooded had to his face. His irises shrank as he watched the light glint off the white bone that peked out between the jaggad scraps of skin and pooling blood. He roared again and came on again, this time his arms spread wide, ready to smother me beneath his gurith. It might have worked... If he wasn't so slow. I flipped over him, my heel connecting with his back for a mere nanosecond before I bounded off. I heard the faint sound of breaking cartiledge as his nose crashed dead on with the sidewalk. Amazingly, if not stupidly, he staggered back to his feet. His face splattered with red and his ruddy complexion darkening. "I will repay you for this!" I howlered and dashed off, manuevering like a drunk down the road. Rhyns' arms flung about my waist, pulling me into a crushing embrace. He sobbed into my back, his head burring in between my shoulder blades. "I'm sorry." He repeated over and over again. I parted his hands and pulled him around me, taking his face in my hands. "That man will never hurt you while I'm around." I stated sternly, locking my fierce gaze with his timid one. He nodded slowly and brought up a big smile. My inards lurched as I seen it, if felt as if I was breaking apart. His eyes closed only adding to the tormented look. I cringed and pushed him back. "Stop that, you're hurting mr." I whispered as I clutched my chest and cloak clasp. The torturous smile faded away and he rushed into my chest, his tears drenching my robes. "I'm sorry!" He cried and wrapped his arms around me, his lilthh body trembling badly. I easily scooped him up, carrying him infront of me. He clung tightly to me, his tears flowing down his face, appearing as crystaline gems rolling down his smooth skin. By the time I arrived at his abode he was in a tenitive slumber, his cheeks stained by the saline and salt and his eyes redden and swollen.
