You build walls around you

Not to keep others out

But to see who cares

Enough to

Bring them down again

To test the heart of those you called friends

To reach out your hand and see who grabs it

And to know what it's like to be truely

Loved

And to hold someone dear

Letting them know you feel

You feel the love they feel

And the pain

And to let them know

That the pain hurts you both

So you will keep them happy

So you can feel the warmth of their love

Wrapping around you

Once again

And to only dance

To the beat of your happy hearts

And to laugh when you need to smile

Just to make them happy

And warm.
