Well...not that important really. Truth is, it has only concerned myself and myself alone. I finally met the Immortal I sensed at the train station. Turns out she was a very ruthless warlord in her day. She was particularly well-known for being attributed to the many rumors of the ancient Greeks concerning the Amazon women.
She's come for me of course. Can't say I don't blame her for it though. Were I an Immortal constantly seeking the heads of others to face the Gathering, I would certainly seek out someone of my skills. Most especially since I am not too difficult to find. Beings friends with the city's reporters, some members in the legal system of West City, and with the mayor does have its disadvantages as well as priveledges.
From what I have heard of her ways though, she hasn't changed too much. Her knack for being able to pick off an Immortal with a bow and arrow, a gun, or a sniper rifle for that matter is one of her signature ways of attack. Most often she keeps herself just out of range of being sensed by another Immortal, before attacking them. It is certainly no small feat to sneak up on an Immortal, so, but I have to hand it to her, she is good.
Were it not for the closeness of the docks and being able to fall into the ocean waters, I would probably be without a head even now. As such, I have changed my habits a bit more when going out and have taken to watching my back a bit more. Getting hit with a sniper round in the shoulder is not fun. Especially at night and falling in the ocean. I could have sworn while I was paralyzed in the ocean waters before being healed that something had nibbled on me attracted by my blood.
Luckily enough, I awoke the next morning on shore. I ended up having to explain to the local drunk who found me that I was still alive. I missed my date because of the whole affair as well which will most likely make her furious. Still though, after explaining, I am certain she will understand the situation.
...At least I hope.
