A Christmas Poem
Twas a dark Yule night
the moon the only light
the children asleep
so soundly and deep
the stockings are hung
the carolers have sung
the parents await an early morn
full of wrapping paper yet to be torn
Santa Claus slips into the room
his footsteps going boom boom boom
yet none can hear
he is silent to our ear
on this night unlike any other
he brings to your mother
a cooked Christmas Dinner.
then he leaves the house
silent as a mouse
steps into his sleigh
and he yells down to the world
Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night.
