Golden leaves fall past my window, like memories long ago past,
My heart is cold like winter, how long can this pain last?
Where does the time go when March is here one more?
The summer song birds sing, but it's different from before.
You’ve left our clear blue sky darkened with a storm,
Which lets that dreary darkness attack us like a swarm.
Is it possible to pick up the threads of an old life,
When it feels like your heart is jaded with strife?
It’s hard to move on and leave you alone,
To watch you sleep peacefully in your Garden of Stone.
I’ll visit you often, and whisper your name,
Please know that my love was never a game.
I say this now, without any regret,
I promise you Ted, I’ll never forget.
Requiescat en pace
