• The innocence of youth,
    Never treasured,
    merely stated.
    It was ignorance,
    not stupidity,
    that saved us
    from our horrid nature.
    as we grew old
    ones who were older still
    preyed on our irreproachability
    and our protection began to disappear

    They fed us lies

    Influenced our minds
    Destroyed our virtue
    Let sin dirty our hands till they were no longer visible
    The older ones who should have preserved our lost treasure
    destroyed it
    as the ones before them destroyed their's

    out of spite
    maybe jealousy

    the once innocent youths
    are now beaten into adulthood
    morality nearly gone
    we see the younger ones
    rejoicing with what we have lost

    ......and the old ones listen to young voices sing
