Beware the words of a snake:
You'll have items that he'll take.
You won't see it disappear.
You won't realize his sneer.
Never put your self in need,
But his advice you will heed.
Like a parasite, he'll feast
On the thing you lack the least.
You'll be helpless to resist
His great powers to assist.
You can't put your trust in him.
He might betray you on a whim.
He's a thief, looking to steal,
Wisely helping out his meal.
He will always have your back
For he gives you what you lack.
He sees your soul, in his eyes,
Crossing him would be unwise.
The gift of sight can be yours
If you learn what he abhors.
You must remain in control
Or he'll have you on a roll,
You will be so deaf and dumb
That you'll be under his thumb.
Change is always what he seeks
Not in himself, but in geeks.
He'll transform your very being,
Into something he is freeing.
The freedom that he gives you
Adjusts everything you'll do,
Who you are and what you want
Is affected by his taunts.
Yes, he'll mock you, yes he will
For you'll need it on your hill:
You'll view the top with his aid.
If you slip, he'll watch you fade.
He can show you how to fly
But you must listen if you try.
All he'll ever do is preach
Topics that schools never teach.
He is worth way more than gold.
Even though his heart is cold.
Warm his soul and give him love
And you'll find a gentle dove:
Caged by contempt and regret,
And betrayal he can't forget.
Beware the words of a snake
If you can not soothe his aches.
