Started out as friends
I want us to be close
Closer like lovers
Committed with each other

But such friendship never lasts
We're too different
I'll never be the one you wanted
Such love I failed to expect

But we're both still here
Only living with our own
Failed to maintain everything
That friendship was about to be forgotten

I'd still stay sweet though
I'm still missing what once we had
If you're here, everything's fine
I wonder, did you felt it too?

It's a nice poem, but not very creative or original. Try adding some rhyming and a more artistic tone.

it was good but take a look at the last sentence
