Dreamwalker
Stepping lightly over dew kissed grass,
The moon a silver pearl in the as she walks through the sky.
I take care of Dreamwalking tonight.
Dark ebony wings emerge as a butterfly from its cage.
Feathers reaching high as the stars,
I am a Dreamwalker, but also an Angel.
Though I am in Death, I walk the livings Dreams...
Wolves hear my laughter,
soft as a chime,
Deady as a dagger in the heart.
Their howls answer me,
Their dark pelts rippling as one..
I emerge from a Dream,
My footsteps silent as I take flight as a bird.
I see a sleeping figure below,
Her breathing light as her life drains from her.
I lean over her, my breath cool and bringing the smell of Earth.
She hears my song,
The song of Death,
Of the Dreamwalkers.
Stirrings oocur,
And she wakes,
Only to find a gentle kiss lingering on her cheek.
I am a Dreamwalker,
Always here,
Fated to walk the Dreams of those mortals.
To you?
You may call me Fate, Death, Love, Hate, Compassion.
You could even say...
I am no one...
Until the day you hear my song.
