Mirrors are the enemy
They lock the doors
And hide the keys
They feed you lies
That are unseen
The truth’s the key
It is a key!
Look at the mirror
(It defines you.)
You’re a boar
(Yes it lies.)
Break it up
(Count to three)
Ask for more
So many bodies
So little chances
All these casualties
Over fake glances
The mirror is a liar
Be its defier
The mirror is a liar
Be its defier
Vanity kills
Imagination
Take a pill
Become a nation
Guys are zombies
Girls are Barbies
We are ending
Mirrors are the enemy
Mirrors are the enemy
They lock the doors
And hide the keys
They feed you lies
That are unseen
They feed you lies
That are unseen
They feed you lies
That are unseen
They hide the truth
That are the keys
They lock the doors
And hide the keys
The truth’s the key
It is a key!

Description:
A lyrical poem about the sorrows that come with a mirror and low self-confidence. Just in case no one gets these two points in the poem, I will explain:
1st- the pill the poem refers to is a diet pill.
2nd- the part where it talks about guys being zombies and girls being Barbies is commenting on the conformity of many guys and girls who think try to fit to society's picture of beauty. - Date: 11/14/2010
