• by stars last light
    i say my farewells
    to you, to them,
    to everyone
    dearest reader,
    this note to be read
    my blood to be shed
    alas, not before the twilights appearance
    the stars dance there sadness away
    and i smile up at them, knowing this is
    the last i'll see of them.
    i hum the tune of the celestic hymn,
    and dance down
    cheerily
    the path that will lead to my demise
    sword in hand
    smile on my face
    i am not foolish!
    just accepting
    in my fate
    and glad
    to give my life
    for those around me.
