    But yet nobody knows mine
    It's a very common kind of fear
    It's a fear to do with the mind

    I am scared of the darkness
    And what might lurk inside
    I don't let most people know this
    I feel I lose my pride

    This fear isn't just of darkness
    It has a second part
    When my body's surrounded by the darkness
    I start to break apart

    The shivers inside. The scream for help
    The treacherous images in my head
    I open my eyes and see the light
    That's when my fear of darkness is dead
