    How come everyone just watches

    Everyone says the same thing,
    That it's all going to get better
    But in the end is it better?
    No it's better then before
    But not completely better

    As you walk down the street,
    You see all these people
    With not even a coin to their name
    You see people in danger
    But don't have the courage
    To save them from it
    You think all the ifs and the regret of not helping them

    You just stand and watch
    As someone gets attacked
    As someone is kidnapped
    As someone is shot
    All these things happen
    Because of someone else's
    Problems, insecurities
    No one seems to understand anymore

    You think about it as you walk up the stairs
    How would it feel if I was some one homeless on the street
    You finally realize you can't take anything granted
    Because everything will soon go away

    But you wonder,
    How come no one understands
    How come everyone just watches
    How come everything is nothing but lies
