In death does everything fade to shades of gray?
it seems many things are already black and lifeless
After so much emotional submissiveness
nothing is left but emptiness
The things that were wonderful
full of colors of happiness
It all means nothing anymore
So many of us are empty bodies
Nothing left to live for
No more happiness left to see
All of it is Gray like the clouds above our heads
Just waiting for our bodies to give out in our sleep
Every night hoping to never wake from the blackness
Yet each morning comes all the shades of gray infecting our thoughts
When the windows are opened the sunlight blinds us
Our minds crying, pleading for serenity
Though it is never found
All that can ever be found is more pain
following the sparks of anger
Which gives us a glimmer of hope
Of something which will never be
Until the day our bodies find peace

- I think you used the colors pretty effectively. I can honestly say this is my new favourite poem ever. I'm not sure if you truely feel this way or if you just did it for your english paper, but it holds alot of emotion, and truth. Well, for me it does. I really like it, good job. (:
