Once in a land long ago and far away.
A poor farm boy was on his quest,
To save a friend before he went astray.
It all started in the northwest. . . . .
When Takhiro’s parents were faced with Death
He managed to convince him to spare them their lives while being half insane.
But within a year they both took one last breath.
He soon afterwards realized his sacrifice was in vain.
He soon was ill, so sick indeed
He fell into an a coma for more than a year
Then finally he woke up realizing while something wrong, and guaranteed
That no one was there to shed even one tear.
So after a long awaited decision
Takhiro finally decided to go on a journey
After having a midnight vision.
He decided to go where Death was often, the Annual Tourney.
He went there in sight of him.
And finally found the evil person
With the near death of a knight named Tim
For things only seemed to worsen.
After talking with the evil being
He realized his friend was in the underworld.
He jumped off an abandoned bridge to go under without being seen
Then Death appeared and Takhiro saw things go swirled.
Down under, waiting at the gate
Takhiro saw his friend up the Infinite Bridge.
He smiled at this lucky fate
He quickly jumped over the drawbridge.
He called to his friend
He seemed to run for years
He ran to the end
With many shed tears.
He ran forever and finally caught up with his friend
But quickly understood it wasn’t him
He cried Death, “Do with me what you like or make me end
Spare my poor sacrificed friend you brother of Grim!”
About a week or so later
A person suddenly awoke with Death telling him,
“You may now live again, a new identity on the Equator.
You are now to be known as a knight named Jim.”
But little did Jim know that Death almost never loses a bargain.
For where Death put him is where a cannon ball was to land
Jim unable to understand heard a bunch of jargon.
The cannon ball hit and Jim became dead like sand.
So in the end
Death won the fight.
Takhiro still lost his friend.
As in life those that conquer aren't always light.

Description:
I wrote this in sixth grade for my English class. For some not all the words may make since. Overall I think this has a good moral, and story to it. Although some problems were the fact that I thought every other line should rhyme back then.Tell me what you think.
