The demon lyes within,
Hiding everything we had,
Everything you miss.

I come to you begging,
Silence the demon,
Put out the burning fire.

We had it all,
We could of been so much more,
If only you didn't change.

Everything we had,
Everything is gone,
Don't come crying back.

The demons have taken over,
It's not you,
It just isn't you.

You did what you did,
Everything is in the past,
No way to change anything.

You say you're sorry,
How can I tell that it's you speaking?
You can give up.

Everything we had is in the past,
We won't go back to that,
I won't go back.

What's with your spelling of the word 'demon'? Overall the poem is lacking art. Poetry is not all about telling a story or putting your thoughts on paper, you know, you must excite the reader.
