With his wings spread,
and his life fanned out before him,
the owl charts it's course to prey.
His claws clench, and his beak opens wide,
to call out to nature his plan.
As he swoops down low to the ground,
and cries out to the living,
he grasps the tail of a mouse with his beak,
and bites down into squirming flesh.
The owl soars through the sky,
and swallows his prey with vengance.
To rest in the burrows,
of an owl's daily life,
and take up the hunt once more.
