Are we victims of circumstance?
Where did this thing we call
This thing we call life go wrong?
Maybe it's just all my fault
Careless decisions and growing older
Both are something I never wanted
But somehow they both came on
I don't have a clue, do you?
High school, remember then?
Do you remember back when
Back when there was no stopping us?
I think it really is my fault
Careless decisions and growing older
Both are something I never wanted
But somehow they both came on
I don't have a clue, do you?
All these after school specials
And none could prepare me
Prepare me for the real thing
It's all my fault
And I miss you too

I like the after school specials reference and the inevitablity of aging and change but it does need some more imagery and comparison. Metaphor is your friend ... remember that.
I'll say this is ok, not good, but ok. - Report As Spam
