The Bridge, Catch Me

• Description: This is a poem inspired by my girlfriend and the song "Winter Sleep" by Anna inspi'Reira. It stemmed from my depression as well. I hope that you all will vote for it, not from what it stemmed from, but the meaning of it. The meaning of this poem, well to me, is that "If you are falling into the freezing depts of water, your love will catch you."

Would you believe me if i said i wanted to jump off the bridge?
Just like i jumped into the water.
For you
I am willing to jump into the waters below
Only because
I know you'd catch me

If you caught me
Would you always be there for me?
Because i don't want to drown in the freezing waters below

Would i be safe?
Would i be alive?

As i got closer to the edge. . .
Would you stop me?
Would you let me jump?

Would you keep me there?
Would you keep me there in your arms?

Could i stay?
Should i jump?

I think. . .that jumping would cause me to stop thinking
It would cause me to stop breathing
If I jumped into those freezing waters
I'd suffocate without you

I would drown in those freezing waters if you don't catch me

So Catch me, I'm falling
I'm falling into those waters
But i know,
Deep down
That you won't let me fall into the frozen water

Because You'll catch me
