Fall
Upon the desert hearts
Of the broken.

Let the rain
Wash
Away all of the pain
Of the hurting

Let the rain
Bring
Comfort to the thirsty.
No more thirsting.

Let the rain
Come
To all of those in need.
Be washed clean.

Let the rain
Heal
The deep wounds of sorrow.
Yes, be healed.

This can have a spiritual meaning. Healing rain--living water--often used to describe God's love.
