• It comes during the night
    Stealing all the light
    It happens to fast you don’t realize what has just come by
    You stop breathing and just lie there
    Day after day
    Week after week
    Month after month
    Your family grieves
    As you watch from your star up above
    You want so much to tell them you’re okay and that you’ll be back soon
    You want to hug them tightly and never let go
    It kills you inside to see them sad and hurts you even more to see them happy
    You miss waking up in the morning and seeing their smiling faces looking down at you
    Everyday they ask the same question, "where’s mommy?"
    And everyday they get the same answer, "mommy’s gone away."
    When you hear this you start to cry and you don’t know why.
    You watch then grow and wonder why you had to die
    You curse out loud and ask God why
    He tells you its part of the never-ending circle
    When one person leaves another one takes your place
    So there is no end and there is no peace to your eternal suffering.
