  to the ends of the the earth and back again,
  i taste the peaceful quiet,
  as soft as down
  and watch the planets dance
  their graceful shadows like those of the young
  they reach out and stumble atop the night
  trying to get something they know is always going to be
  just out of grasp
  so, softly the tears fall,
  for they know it just can't be
  but still they reach
  for the thing for which they cry
