Ladybug, Ladybee
How can I compare to thee?
as your jointed legs
crawl nimble on my fingers
and i wonder what your droning wings say.
Ladybug, Ladybee
I longingly watch both you fly away
Simply wishing i could do so the same way.
And while you are away
I lie in the grass
And wish for your presence once again.

Description:
I find that bumble bees and lady bugs are far more sutible than birds. at one thought a lady bug can fly away if they dislike you, and bumblebees can sing a much more beautiful song. At the other birds seem so cliche.
i got inspired while reading in a small field on the first day of spring. to my suprise the lady bugs had already started to appear in the grass and the bees where already humming. Therefore i write this poem without much strategy. - Date: 03/20/2009
