Summer Dreams
By N.A. Triantaffelow
I lie in darkness spaces
for summer dreams to take me places.
And when I wake I wish to be,
Down and away -- from agony.
With the world reborn,
I wish to write,
A history new,
All things right.
But what of the folly of memories lost?
There is a price, it has a cost;
Forget the darkness
and you will see
The world asunder in atrophy...

Description:
Never forget. Always be on guard; once the deed is done, it will happen again. This poem is about history's coincidentally time-immune knack for repeating itself. Written after Empath-E, but the speaker wrote it before, when times were good, and when people were still remembering their faults. But lessons go unlearned, every so often... and... well, you know the dance.

- lol it's like the irony of something happening when you stop worrying about it.
