• • There was a time once, long ago,
When man wielded sword, spear, or bow.
    Honor then, ruled supreme,
And a woman was the source of every man’s gleam.
There was war, for it is a necessary thing,
But it was for God, Country, or King.
Every boy dreamed of being a knight,
For in such a dark world, they were the light.
    Chivalrous and skillful were they,
And protected those whom harvested the hay.

Now, the time we see in the looking glass,
Is one in which man wields firearm and brass.
Chaos is the master, there are no rules.
And men view women as nothing more than tools.
Murder abounds, as well as war,
Greed and pride are the only reasons men fight anymore.
Now children want to be a gangster or pimp,
Thinking them cool, e’en though uglier than a chimp.
They exploit the poor, and murder in the streets,
All the while having no compassion for those deadbeats.

It is not as it once was, and in this thought it is dreary,
We live in an age, where even women do not want Chivalry.
