She looks to the sky,
and she sees clouds of smoke.
An orange glow shines high,
and she smells burning oak.
Suddenly flames surround her,
and cut off her path.
She runs through the fire,
for fear of the aftermath.
But she can't escape,
the flames move in closer.
Covered in a thick smoke cape,
she holds her composure.
The flames quickly take her,
and her body is gone.
She was so pure,
her soul still lives on.
And in eternal rememberance,
her pure love still shows,
in the unparalleled elegance,
of the beautiful and illustrious....black rose.

Sorry if this is long, but...
hi! long time no see. i like the poem. i love the agdatives (sorry about spelling) you used in the first poem. "An orange glow shines high, and she smells burning oak." Thats really good. but you know what you can add to the poem? Something that describes the "she." for example, when you said orange glow shines high, there could be something like, "just like her hair" i dont know. but i just feel like it needs a little something about her. - Report As Spam
