• SCHOOL AT LUNCH TIME by Nyla Mark heart

As the bell rings, at the 12th hour
I hurriedly take out my lunch and started to devour
    it.
The noises all around me, my head is spinning
There’s so much all around its overbearing

The “pita pata” of feet on the ground
The laughter of children, a merry sound
The shouting of the vendors outside the gate
Better get your lunch now before it’s too late

All alone, I sit in the corner
Eating my lunch at the 12th hour
Children walking in groups of three
Children of all sizes my eyes can see

    Children big, children small
Some children fat and some tall
    Some broad and some narrow
I wonder what else I’ll see at lunchtime tomorrow
