Benevolence; often times in it for itself
Malevolence; often sharing the same goal
Purity, a rarity
Uncleansed window into the soul
Gazing back through the dusty glass
Once shining brightly, now dulled away
Ancient spirit long since lost
Lost to the world in which it was born
Never again to know the meaning of life
Fettered in a cage of its own creation
Unable to reverse the detriment
Casting itself away from wandering eyes
Longing once again for the chance to intermingle
Knowing not what lies in the future
Regretting peering into the past
Dreading this awful present
To be clear of conscience and free of mind
One true path followed through
Strays away from the end goal
The once true, pure spirit rests
In a pool of its own sorrow and misery
Unsuccessful in washing away the guilt
A spirit forever stained in the blood
Of unattainable redemption
