When things are not
As we have sought
When days are far too few
Emotions so strong
Wreak havoc upon the soul
And when writing a song
I think of none but you
Perhaps a lapse
In time is not
What we want
What we'd have wrought
But God holds
Within his hands
This entire world
Just as you would
A grain of sand
If he watches
Over the sparrow
As it flies around
Could he forget you?
If he knows all things
Would he not see
This love that holds
Both you and me?
And knowing such
Should we waste a day
Except in love
To wipe eachother's tears away?
And who by tears
Can add a day
To this life too short
This dramatic play?
And how will I forget
What God himself has set
A call to love, sent from above
For which my tears do wet?
In patience I wait
With anxiousness great
And trust God's plans
Which are not set in sand
For you, my friend
Do I regret this trend
For you, my dear
Do I shed these tears
When things are not
As we have sought
When days are far too few

- Title: When Days Are Far Too Few
- Artist: Ryan Russell
- Description: This is a piece written for a girl I love to death when I found out that I was moving sooner than expected (like several months sooner) and that I probably wouldn't be able to visit during the summers...Sad, but I've had to leave so many friends behind during my life that I've learned to cope!
