    The visions play through closed doors,
    The scenes bring feelings laced with fright,
    I open my eyes and scream "no more!"


    The oxygen in my lungs disappears,
    I can’t seem to slow my breathing,
    The loss of you; my heart’s greatest fear,
    The laughter of my demons forever seething

    I see your face and reach for your hand,
    But then I remember, this is only a haunting,
    The feelings are too great to stand,
    Your voice rings through my ears always taunting

    I cry a loud, whispering your name,
    Why do why love you this way?
    Why do you only bring pain?
    Why do I keep asking you to stay?
