I have given up,
on the shallow pond of love.
The constent battles,
the endless fights,
forgotten over one night.
Careless of the world,
and it's push for love.
All the broken hearts,
never to recover.
Why would anyone want this?
Why would I?
For the search of the warm,
oh so gentle glow,
of the enfinite light....
of love.

- Description: I've never been in *like*, (where he likes me back,) or whatever, and it seems like the world is pushing it on us to be in love. But, that's why they almost never last. Because the world shading our eyes of what we think is *love* but is not.

- I agree, society does overrate love a lot, making teenagers think that it's the greatest and sometimes they see it where it does not exist. About the poem though, I don't really like it, it doesn't sound at all that poetic to me.

Great poetry!
I like how its like we sort of all feel after a break-up, never to love again, but then we get swept up in such a tidal wave of love!
