The Artist's Plight
by TerataNayeri
The artist is a fragile creature, very scared and shy
And she(or he) is very prone to cry
When critics, with probiscis so sharp
Or flamers with mouth so hot
Say things to make an artist feel like worthy-not
Other times the artist sees red,
and wishes those who criticize her(or him) dead
She types up a response flame
and her pointer hovers over the send
But stops, realizing flamers(and critics) will never bend
So she does her best to paint and draw
And doesn't let words stick in her craw
But sometimes the artist needs a break
And begins to type a poem (oh for goodness sake)
She tells of the trouble an artist has
And runs out of rhymes quite quickly
He, or she, will write slickly
Hoping for just a bit of praise,
But an artists plight never ends.

- Actually I was talking about all artists. Not just myself. And critics can be quite sharp.

- Are you proposing that people should never speak ill of your work? How, exactly, are you going to get better if your only critic is so biased?
