I sit on a dark street corner
Thinking of how different
My life would be without so much pain.
Despair took me when I thought
It had changed for the worse.
A cold wind whistled like demons
Breathing on my neck.
I looked up and felt ice cold raindrops
Falling down on me like drops of blood,
The results of an intimate suicide.
I felt darkness take me once again
As I fell into the demons' hand.
Suddenly, a blast of white light
Surrounded me as I felt a warm hand
Brush the misery away
Soft lips kissing the tears of sorrow away
Like leaves blowing across the warm gound.
My flesh and body, no longer cold,
I stood up and walked into happiness
For the first time.
