Looking in the mirror
I don't know who I am anymore
I feel different and I even look like somebody else now
The face I see is pale and round
With eyes that say nothing but
Hum an unfamiliar tune to the
Ears that seem to be no longer mine
My handwriting is no longer me
But appears to belong to the hands
Of my mother
I am like her is so many unknown ways
I am like her and my sisters whom
I said I will never be like
My mother; the hero that despises me
I seem to be her now
I feel her agony and her pain
I am my mother at nineteen
But she is more same that I
My mother--How I miss you
But never have the courage to say
I love you
