She sits there, her shoulder length black hair needing to be washed, as well as her dark boot cut jeans, and blue and black plaid button down tunic. Her aqua and gray converse are worn and well broken in, and her ever so cheery expression is only amplified by the fact that one side is squished with the heel of her hand holding her head up. Her dark brown eyes are full of boredom, and you can tell she wishes she was anywhere but where she was, seated behind a laptop, waiting for visitors that were honestly interested, and not just obligated to come and see the presentation that she worked so hard on.
She knows that so much is working against her at this moment. The WonderTards on one side, one of her friends sitting right next to her with a vastly more interesting presentation, her delightful and hospitable expression and dress, not to mention her ever so interesting topic question. She knows with the hindsight of presenting to her class two days ago, and seeing all of the interesting things the rest of her 8th grade team, that she could have picked a vastly more interesting topic. She also knows that she could be talking more, other than just showing the semi-animation she busted her a** to make.
However, since everyone else seems to notice what she has observed during her self-inventory, her brain has room to wander. She sings under her breath "This Is War" by 30 Seconds to Mars, the chorus to "Ring of Fire" by Johnny Cash, hums "Raise Your Glass" by P!nk, and the theme song from Hetalia. She contemplates the stupidity of the WonderTards, and muses on how well her best friends own Exhibition is going, despite the status report from her mother before she left. She wishes she could have brought her book, or been able to go see some of the other presentations, but alas, one of her teaches has kept her essentially locked in the loud, over-crowded Assembly Room, which never held assembles, while her head pounded and her ears ached.
In short, her whole situation is clearly summed up in the two words she continually mutters under her breath during the whole hour and a half she is stuck in this room: "******** this."
