In a world so dark and dreary, my mind slips into a realm of pure fantasy. It wonders to a land where the skies are always blue and there is never a grey cloud in sight. A place where the grass is always green and not a single weed is to be found. A world where drugs, violence and war no longer exist. If I were to create a world of my own, everyone would be understanding. Every man and woman would be created equal. A child would hold its innocence for all eternity. In my world, death would not be painful but a factor of life where a person would slip away peacefully in their dreams. Parents would love their children with every ounce of their being. Children would obey and respect their parents as if their word were law. And in my world, no person would ever be more powerful than the other.
But this isn't my world. The skies aren't always blue. Grey clouds not only invade our skies but our minds as well. The grass loses it's color and fades away. Drugs, violence and war surround our very being. Man hates on his fellow man because of minor differences. Children get involved in drugs, unprotected sex and violent situations. Death is excruciating and the most painful and scariest aspect of life. Parents abuse their children to the point of murder or suicide. Some even go as far as raping the young. Children rebel and runaway from homes. Government runs even the land that man considers "the home of the free".
To me, this doesn't seem like a world where any man should want to live. To me, this seems to be the perfect place for negitivity. And if God truly does exist, why does He let us live in Hell? Why doesn't He touch this land with his perfection and make us whole again? Why does He just watch from the skies as the world He created slowly crumbles before Him? They say that we are all God's children. Why has He yet to save us? Why does He allow war to occur in His name? To me, it seems as if God is no better than man. For He allows the good to die and the bad to continue causing the world more harm. He allows holy men that preach His word to steal from His place of worship.
