Chapter 2: Illusions
The path of contemplation is beset on all sides by illusions. Things which have the appearance of being real are often no more than a product of the human mind, and our perceptions. If we were to rid ourselves of our perceptions these things would no longer exist. And since ridding yourself of perception is the ultimate goal you must achieve before you can achieve completely pure contemplation, we must identify that which is illusory and cease to perceive it while we are contemplating.
Division is the greatest illusion. Everything is one. I will not even attempt to explain this as it is impossible to relay through words. But with enough contemplation this will become apparent to anyone. Overcome this illusion and your ability to contemplate will be unmeasurably greater.
Value and worth are both illusions. There is no one thing that is worth more than any other thing because neither of those two things exist in just their individuality. They are all smaller pieces to a much greater whole where neither piece is more important than any other piece. No living organism is more important than a single electron in a hyrdogen atom. No piece of discarded trash is less important than a palace constructed of gold and jewels. Since value and worth do not exist we all have an exactly equal amount of it. Making each and every person, place, and thing the most important in the universe.
Only one emotion exists. And all other emotions are distorted, or diluted forms of it. That single emotion is love. We only call anger, anger because of the physical sensations that accompany it. The tensing of muscles, increase of adrenaline, heart rate and breathing. Without these sensations this emotion would not even exist to us. Every emotion except for love comes from our body and perceptions. Love comes from our mind and soul.
Our identity is an illusion. We can be anything that we wish to be. Just because other people have labeled you by a certain name or characteristic doesn't mean that is who you are. You are not your height. You are not your weight. You are not your job, or how much money you have in the bank, or how many miles your car gets to the gallon, or how much your house costs, or where you were born, or live. You are not your choices, or mistakes. You are not your age, or gender, or race. You are not any of these things. What YOU are you will discover by contemplation. YOU are the only person who can figure that out.
There are many more illusions. Infinitely more. But discovering those is a part of your path of contemplation. These are merely the illusions that I have discovered and discarded that have dictated my unhindered path of contemplation. The casting off of these illusions has granted my mind freedom. And it can do the same for you. But everyone has their own illusions to discover. And I cannot tell you what they are. Once again it is all up to YOU.
Chapter 3: Ideas
This is the final chapter. It will not conclude. There will not be an end to it. It will only stop when I feel I have provided a sufficient amount of ideas that your thirst for truth may be temporarily slaked, and even though that may be an end to the ideas I have contemplated, it is not an end to the ideas to be contemplated, because as previously stated there is no end. I implore you, to begin your own path of contemplation. Write down your ideas. And share them with the world. Value does not exist. Your ideas are the most important thing in the universe. Here are mine.
What is real? Reality for most is what we can see, what we can touch, and feel and smell and hear and taste. In other words, reality is created by our perceptions. If we perceive that the world is a horrible place filled with hate and desolation, then the world is a horrible place filled with hate and desolation. But if we instead choose to percieve that the world is an imperfect place but for all it's flaws there are good even if sometimes misguided people, who make up most of the world, then we will be in a much happier place. Because that will make the world that way. If we wish to be in heaven, then instead make heaven where we are.
Our perceptions only exist for us. Meaning what is real to us may not be real to the other billions of people who live on our planet. The reverse is true as well. Just because many others believe or perceive something does NOT make it real. If many others perceive you as worthless, ugly, inadequate, or any of an infinite supply of negative things which their perceptions can impress upon others for whatever reason they may have, then that is all that is. THIER PERCEPTION. It is no more real for you than their dreams or imaginations for perceptions are just another color within that spectrum, and the individual colors within that spectrum don't even exist! It is all just one light, one ray of energy that our sight seperates into individual colors! An illusion impressed upon the world by our perceptions!

- Artist: sporosofyadah
- Description: Chapter 2 and 3 of my book of philosophies I have developed through contemplation/meditation. Chapter 2 demonstrates illusions which hinder the ability to contemplate, and Chapter 3 is the final chapter which contains the actual philosophies/ideas I have developed. It is NOT complete yet. Not by a long shot. While I do believe I have enough material to make a good read I do not have as much as I would like so feel free to share any ideas/philosophies you have with me. You will be accredited.

- Have I read Plato? Is that a serious question? lol. I would say that my philosophies are closer to the buddhist ideology though.

- have you read any of platos theories? its alot like what your writting, but alot more complicated. I agree with some of the things that you write, such as the love thing, but i think that our idenities exist, and are not illusions, but they're only tempory.
