The dark cold air bit my hands and I stared up at the starry sky. The dark trees waved in the wind and the moon reflected in the dark lake. I sat in the grass, my dress floating around me and climbing in tendrils towards the cloudless sky. Suddenly a crack of lightning spread across the sky and disappeared behind the distant mountains.
I stood, walking towards the lake, as if being drawn to a light. My feet made pools of ripples as I entered the lake. My dress clung to me and the water came up to my waist. I shivered and felt a sudden jolt as a pain entered me from my feet to my waist. I looked down and saw a dark shape sneaking through the water towards me. It wrapped around my legs and up my body. I turned around faster and faster, in my mind seeing flames bursting around me and enveloping me. My mind went dark and I sank in the water, feeling it bubbling around me. Suddenly out of the dark a figure appeared. A giant robed figure walking towards me. Its hood cast shadows over its face but suddenly it reached up and took off its hood. I felt no more.
