The green and yellow hues checker boarded across the landscape. It was, at once, beautiful and sickening. Deep crevices lined the ground, scares left by mighty rivers that had dried up and had been forgotten like so many flowers.
The land was inviting and hostile, although it was good to be home, the plague-like swarm of tiny homes made my stomach lurch with agony for what had been.
It is true that you don’t know true beauty until it’s lost…
