• Alex walked into high school and breathed out. She walked up to the front office. The lady gave her the schedule. Her homeroom was room 324. When she got to her first elective she saw it was fencing. "Awesome" she muttered to herself watching the teenagers slice each other with fake swords. The teacher gave her a number which was 6. Mrs.Martinez,the teacher, called out "Numbers 5 and 6" Alex stepped up to the mat, mask on, and stood in position. Another player jumped on the mat, mask also on, and stood in position. Mrs.Martinez said "Fence!" Alex poked at the opponents foot. Player 5 looked at his foot confused. Alex whispered "Gotcha." She poked him in the chest. Alex won. She took of her mask shaking her thick black hair into position. The opponent took off his mask to reveal a cute face full of messy blond hair. Alex walked up to him and held out her hand "My names Alex." "Max" he said shaking Alex's hand. Alex and Max walked to their lockers which were about two lockers away from each other. "So whats your next class?" Max asked. "Um Geometry." She said as she closed her locker."Me too. Wanna walk together?" Max suggested. "Sure" Alex replied. They walked together to class, learning more about each other with each step. Alex walked in to class. Max pulled her shirt to pull her back as a pale blond boy ran in front of her. She then walked on to a chair placed in the front. She put her black Jansport bookbag on the chair and sat on the desk. Max sat next to her and placed his bag on the floor and sat in the blue scratched chair. The bell rang and Alex quickly jumped in her seat. Everyone sat as a tall gray-haired man walked into the room and placed a big binder full of neat papers on the hardwood desk. He opened the binder as he sat in the tall leather chair. He started to call out names. (Later) The last person whose name was supposedly Shaun, stood up and handed in his paper. The bell rang and everyone rushed out the room.
    Weeks passed. Alex was sitting on her bed with a notebook on her lap. She colored in about half of the heart she drew with the letters A and M written in the middle. Her phone with a ringtone that was made for Max. She picked it up saying "Heyaz" "Hey where are you?" Max asked. "Um, I'm pretty sure I'm home." She said. "Come over to Malissa's place she's having a dance party." Alex said "K, I'll be there in a sec" She hung up the phone and got up. Alex looked through her closet and grabbed a pair of skinny jeans and a t-shirt with a skull on it. She slipped o her converse with random writing on them and walked out the door. She brought her notebook with her. Alex jumped on her bike and pedaled fast to Malissa's house. When she got there she saw about everyone at school there. She walked through the crowd. She saw Max and Freddy with Maddy. Alex headed over there. "Yo what's up?" She said acting cool. All four of them started laughing. The four walked over to the drinks table and served themselves. Alex walked to get chips when some kid bumped into her making her drop her note book. About everyone saw her heart. She picked up the notebook and ran back to her bike and left.
    Alex cried herself to sleep after that horrid night. Monday was terrible. Alex wanted to skip every class but knew she would just be caught and get detention. She walked into homeroom,looking down. Max walked up to her and nervously said "Hey" Alex looked up and down again "Hi..." She said as she sat down focused on her desk. "I'm sorry about Saturday night." Max said. Alex blushed. "Yeah..." She said. They went through class not talking. The bell rang and the two walked together to fencing. "A plus M." A kid said making a heart with his fingers. Max grabbed Alex by her other arm and pushed her. She blushed. (After school) Alex grabbed her bag and got on her bike."Wait!" Max called. Alex got off. "Yeah" Max came over to her. "Hey, um, wanna hang out sometime?" He asked. "Sure" she said blushing. "k well bye." He said. He kissed her on the cheek and she left saying "Text you later." The two smiled.
