• it was a monday at sky view middle school and i had just finished reading the book the laundry news . i had a great idea to continue the news paper that sky view had recently closed the year before. but this news paper was to be special . it would be for our team instead of the whole school. i thought about the steps that would take part into making the news paper. first i went to the teachers that was my first step . it was an after school meeting that we had and i asked my teachers if i could please start a news paper . they thought that it would be a great idea for students that could not take part in extra activities. i was thrilled . so i gave each of them a hug and i said thank you very much. the next step i had was to make fliers . so me and my friends went to my house and we made the fliers. we were syked when we saw that there were 15 replys for the news paper. the third step was to assign colums. sooo i held the first ever meeting. i had the sports colum, the comics , the weekly gossip, the advice colum, the editor's colum,and i had the weather. it took alot of determination to do this and we stayed after school and then on the deadline i recieved every one's article except 1 . my friend who i perfer not to mention had only recieved 1 advice letter. it was realy personal and she did not know how to reply to it . she was shaking and i then asked if i could read the letter privitley with her . we read the letter and it said ......

    my parents are devorced and now my dad met this new girl who has 2 kids there boys and he always wanted some boys in the family . while im only a girl
    i dont know if my dad will remember that i exist. we dont have a close relationship and he normaly would take me to a movie once a month for our fun time . all the rest of the time we would just sit around and drink coke and watch his tv . i realy think this new family will tare us apart . can you give me some suggestions on how to approach him about this, i dont think i know how to tell him that i dont want him to get married without making him angry .

    i think you should approach at a time when both parents are at the house . you might like your new brothers and i think you should ask to spend some time with the new brothers and your step mother. you might get to like them and we are shure that your dad wont forget you .

    the next week we printed the paper . i was so happy at the aword ceromony when the teachers made a special aword for me because i made a news paper.
