As we mortals, who go about our short lives upon this earth, we consider ourselves "advanced" beings and are "stronger" as a result. Yet if this is so, how is it we are so frail in comparison to other "primitive" existences?
True, yes, we are possessive of impressive minds and intellects, but was it not from the "primitives" that we received such a gift? And who are we, who have been in this universe for all but a chronological second, to say what is below us? The "primitive" beings were living in this reality long before us without the conveniences we take for granted today. In that sense, that we are all but completely dependant (And we most likely are) on many of our creations, we are the weaker existences.
Before going any further, think of things you use on a daily basis. How do you think you would do without the things you just thought of?
But sadly, this implanted arrogance does not limit its range to those who dwell in the wilds of the world. We press our self-superiority upon those within our own species, continents, countries, cities, even within our own homes: We feel, in some way or another, above someone else for the most idiotic and petty of reasons: They way they dress, act, live, their job, car, home, school, family, ethnicity, race, ideals, religion; the list goes on for eternity. And again, who are we to judge? As human beings, we are naturally diverse in every possible way thanks to our highly evolved minds. So then why do we criticize others merely for being as diverse as we are?
Before continuing, think of who you belittle or think lesser of. Why do you think this way of these people? How do you think they feel about you?
This world is constantly getting smaller as our ingenuity grows and we further connect our world. But unless we use these connections to learn from each other and understand each other, our ties will be the noose of destruction and war.

Description:
Taking a cue my Gaia journal title, it is as it says. I do A LOT of thinking about things that usually have nothing to do with me lol. But all comedy aside, I am considered a reincarnation of the great Greco-Roman thinkers (Hippocrates, Socrates...a lot of "-crates" XD.) or merely a modern day sage.
Bty: This kind of stuff is what I put IN my journal, so if you like this, feel free to drop on by. :D
