I woke from a disgusting dream. Insects, horrible disgusting insects were crawling out of my skin. Then, I dremt of you, in a forest, fall leaves gently cascading through the air. I thought of this dream upon awaking, and immediately I was soothed.
**********
We were walking to school that day. I was still in a good mood from the soothing dream from the night before. Then, out of nowhere, she says this to me:
"I should probably tell you this before we get to school...."
I didn't quite know what to expect. Was she having a party? Was she feeling ill? Didn't do her homework and needed to borrow mine?
"Okay, " I say, "what is it?
"Me and her are going out."
My very world crumbled at that minute. Instead of crying, running away, I only said, "Really? That's great! Congratulations."
**********
The previous fall, I had confessed. All she did was smile and give me a hug. What I didn't realize then was that this the nicest form of rejection she could give me. After I told her, she quickly swiched the conversation to a curious looking tree. Smooth.
So imagine my heartbreak when she told me that her new gf, (whom she'd only known for little over a year, while she knew me for a good 7 years) told my crush that she liked her, and POOF! They were now a couple.
All I got out of confessing was a hug, and a conversation about a tree.
**********
School that day was hell. As soon as we parted to go to our classes, tears were silently running down my face. I was a mixture of emotions: angry, hurt, betrayed. I went home that day, and wished for the day to be erased from my memory.
***********
Needless to say, I have never been quite the same since that day. They hold hands in the hallway, constantly cuddle, hug everytime they part. And, since I'm one of their best friends, I'm there to watch every minute of it. I was numb for weeks afterwards. When I finally got back the ability to open my heart to another, I was falling for the most unlikely of people, with the most unstable emotions.
And, of course, as the loyal friend, I act happy for them, smiling everytime they tickle each other, just like everyone else, when I really want to scream and tear my eyes out of my head.
This is the story of my daily heartbreak.
Take from it what you will.
I'm usually not this emo emo lol

Description:
I love my friends.... and two of them love each other more than friends do.
Most people, me included, would say "Hey! That's great, two of your friends are going out, and they're happy together!"
The problem: I've liked one of them for over a year. - Date: 10/09/2008

- If this story is based on real life events, you should try to do a better job of structuring your story in order to convince readers to continue reading it. There is great potential to expand on a lot of what you have written here. More detail is needed, and you must try to provide a cleaner segue between events. 1 star.
