Critiques are welcome, c'mon, bung 'em at me! I must apologize if this isn't to your liking. I did make it as 'normal' as possible. At any rate, enjoy.

In the outskirts of the city laid a small town which ran along a firmly standing wall at an. On nights like this one, events took place randomly, yet in an odd pattern.
"And tonight, we receive another report on the mysterious deaths of many of Lazy Winter's residents, back to you Kelly."
As scenery changed, the woman called 'Kelly' was now outside of a 24 hours convenience store. She wore a quivering smile, as her hand gripped tightly around the microphone. Was she afraid? She cleared her throat as she delicately removed her hair from her face. "Yes, Nixon, as you see behind me, the police is now investigating the crime scene, and they aren't letting us see what's happened as of yet, but according to a witness, a woman and her child were entering the store, when–"
They're closing in on us. I thought as I turned off the television and rested the remote besides me. I looked at the ceiling, and let a groan escape my lips. I wondered how long it would take. How far they would go. Was this small town that much of a nuisance? All these questions, and no answers. Heh, the Princess of Rose would kill me, if i even dared question the rule of cards. I stood up, and grabbed the mug which stood by the couch, and just placed it on the empty sink. I was too lethargic to rinse it right now. I dragged myself to the stairs, and debated with myself whether i should leave the lights on. I did. I didn't feel like arguing with myself about such thing. I hadn't been feeling like doing anything really.
I opened the door to my room, and closed it behind me with a silent thump. I yawned. I shifted through the battle stage of a room i had, and sat on my bed, then yawned once more. Something soft brushed against my leg, startling me. I looked down at HeShe. My sister's ugly feline. It was a rather sorry looking Toyger. Sorry indeed. Poor thing.
I made eye contact with it. Then it purred. I carried it up to my bed and petted it. As my hand stroked its coat, i felt a paper like edge on its collar. It meowed.
"A note from your master, eh?"
It meowed as i removed the folded scrap from its collar, then walked in a circle, making itself comfortable. The little b*****d. I thought, as I observed it wag its tail. I felt somewhat teased. I redirected my vision to the paper, and unfolded it. It was quite messy, and had drops of what seemed coffee on it. She must have been in a hurry. It read:
Hey Zen, I apologies before hand! Anyways, I'm going to be late today. A friend kindly invited me over for afternoon tea, and then to the cinema. Take hare of HeShe for met, okay. Thanks, Cheerio~
P.S.
Stop calling HeShe 'It', HeShe's a female.
Elektra.
I laughed in annoyance, as i crumbled the paper and shot it at the trash bin, completely missing it. I let my weight drop into the bed, as i embraced the comfortableness of it. HeShe meowed. I turned to face the piles of stuff on the floor, then looked at my phone. My hand had fallen asleep. I reached for my phone with the hand i wasn't putting my weight on and turned on my phone. 2 messages, 1 email, 3 voice mails from-, well that isn't important. I sighed. I checked my messages, and completely neglected everything else. The first message was from Gust, a childhood friend of mine. It read:
S'not really that difficult y'know. I'll drop by around 5, if not then later. Most likely the day after. August's Out!
I thought of a reply. Or at least something more than just 'Ok' or 'I'll see you then' but that was pretty much all i could manage. As i typed it out, another text arrived. I assumed it was from him, so I sat back up, then pressed 'send'. I walked towards the door as i opened the second message. It was from an unknown number.'You're Next.' It said. All caps. I thought it was a joke, thus i ignored it and stuffed my phone in my pocket, then opened the door and headed to and down the stairs. In the dead of silence, my phone whispered slightly. It caught me off guard. When i got to the bottom of the stairs, i reached for my phone and turned it on. 2 unread messages. They were both from the same unknown number as earlier. I opened one of them. It was blank. I deleted that one, and moved on to the other one. My phone dropped to the ground, interrupting the silence which had been established. My body trembled as my eyes looked at the text. My vision was getting cloudy. Was I...afraid?
There were loud unsettling knocks on the door. I rapidly turned to the pounding door, and cautiously walked over to it. I felt drops of sweat fall with uncertainty. The pounding grew heavier and louder along with the beating of my hear. I looked out the peephole, but it was too dark to make out anything. Damn it! I thought, as i bit my bottom lip, and placed my hand on the door knob turning it slightly.

I felt like rapping the 'Tags' section. Sorry about that. No. I'm not.
